I don't know about you but I'm suffering a bit with the January blues right now.
I think it's a combination of the post Christmas anticlimax and the gloomy
weather, together with short amount of daylight at this time of year. I know
it's not unusual but I do seem to forget each year how much it affects me. I
even have one of those light boxes for SAD sufferers but I'm not sure how much
it's helping.
So I reckon a little sprinkle of sparkle is just what we need to enliven what is, let's face it, the dreariest month of the year! I don't think sequins have to be reserved especially for the festive season. My bow jumper, embellished with bronzed coloured sequins can just about pass as a non festive jumper I think?! I wore it over New Year but I've worn it in January too and I feel it still works. Paired with my rust coloured tights to pick out the shade of the sequins, I then layered it up with my favourite skirt, boots and coat. My 70's style saddle bag is from Accessorize, I chose the nude shade as it'll go with so many different outfits!
