Well I don't know about you but Christmas seemed to fly past really quickly this year! I'm a massive fan of the festive period and go into full on elf mode each December. I love everything from the house being all decorated, the pretty lights up everywhere, the delicious food and getting to see all of my family and friends. It was a fairly quite and relaxed Christmas Day this year, spent at home but I do kind of prefer it that way and we had a wonderful time! We very much felt the absence of my sister, Emily though who has been travelling in Australia for the last year and has now moved onto New Zealand. This was the first Christmas we haven't spent together our whole lives so it did feel strange! She had sent us all presents however which we opened over Skype on Christmas Eve (which was her Christmas morning). Along with some foodie bits from Oz she made my Mum and I a friendship bracelet each (pictured). I received some lovely and exciting Christmas gifts which I will do a separate post about very soon!
I thought I'd share with you my Christmas Day in pictures. From our decorations, to dinner, to what I wore...
We have these fabulous personalised sacks that I got made by a seller on eBay a
few years ago.
My choice of Christmas jumpers this year (both from H&M). I went for the cat
one on Christmas Day and the bow one on Boxing Day.
My delicious Christmas lunch: Turkey with all the trimmings! And then a choice
of Christmas pudding or my Mum's homemade chocolate mousse for dessert - I
always go for he chocolate mousse.
I was given these beautiful festive bouquet of flowers from my friend. They
really added to our Christmas decor and I love the gold leaves!
Makeup: I went for gold on my eyes using a shadow palette by Mally Beauty and
her volumising mascara. I added a pinky nude lipstick from Laura Geller called
Rouge Audrey. I'm also wearing my own handmade Santa hat earrings: My Beaded Treasures on Etsy.
We went out for our traditional Christmas walk, not very far, just enough to
feel like we'd walked off some of our lunch!

The princess of the household, making what I think is her blog debut! This is Mandy our 17 year old cat who has been been by my side since I was 9.
She loves Christmas as she gets to play with all the ribbon and get in the
boxes! We got her some catnip move from Molly's Mice which she loved and then
spent the entire evening asleep in my empty Christmas sack! So she had a very
enjoyable day.
The evening was spent cuddled up under blankets feeling happily over-fed and
watching the festive TV on offer, including the Strictly Christmas Special, Call
the midwife and of course the final episode of Downton Abbey!
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas Day and have a happy and healthy 2016
to look forward to!
