It's Easter time! I love this time of year, Spring is in the
air and we have the approaching Summer to look forward too. Plus we have yet
another seasonal collection from Lush to get excited about! So if you're
avoiding the sugar and calories that come with ingesting mountains of chocolate
eggs (I am attempting this but may still succumb to one or two) this Easter
then why not opt for some seasonal bath time indulgence with Lush's Easter
collection?
Fluffy Egg: If you love Snow Fairy (Lush's popular Christmas fragrance) you'll love this as
it smells just like it. The fragrance is just candy, sweet shop dreaminess and
the fuchsia pink waters make me feel like princess Aurora!
Bunch of Carrots: How adorable are these carrots! I fell in love with these the moment I saw them
so they were first in my basket. These are reusable bubble bars that you hold
under the tap to create as many bubbles as you desire, I like mountains!
Fragranced with buchu, lemon and grapefruit oils they not only smell
beautiful but I think would also make for pretty decorations this Easter if you
can keep them that long!
Humpty Dumpty: How hilarious is this Humpty Dumpty bath bomb? Although mine seems to have a slightly evil
smile, I feel like he's plotting something! To me this smells like toffee, similar to the golden egg, it is also infused with bergamot and brazilian orange
oil. He has a cute little surprise of a fried egg inside which can be used as a
separate bath bomb. So theoretically you can get 3 uses out of this if you want,
each half of the shell and the inside. The only trouble is breaking it open, as
you can see I made a bit of a mess of this one! The fried egg inside was
pretty cemented in so I needed a knife to lever it out.
Golden Egg: This Golden Egg bath bomb is sooooo sparkly! I love glitter though so I'm in
bath heaven. It's sweetly toffee/chocolate scented, with bergamot and sweet wild
orange oils. A nice treat for Easter Sunday.
Bouncy Bunny: My cute bouncy bunny shower jelly smells so beautifully of orange like the
jellies I used to have as a child. The only trouble I find with the shower
jellies is that they're so difficult to handle it's a little bit like bathing
with flubber! Apparently you can chill these down for a super refreshing
shower which might be nice in the summer.
Which Came First?: This enormous bath bomb is another one you can get 3 baths out of just like
Humpty Dumpty. If you crack it open you will find a little yellow chick inside!
Again this was easier said than done as it was cemented in pretty hard. Scented
with grapefruit, lemon and vanilla makes it smell sweet and fruity! I really liked
this scent.
Ultraviolet: This large bubble bar is scented with violet, jasmine and rosewood. It created
loads of lovely bubbles with twinkling deep purple waters. For me I found it
sweet/parma violet smelling crossed with woody floral notes.
Somewhere Over The Rainbow: Isn't this the most beautiful soap in the world?! Although I
decided not to purchase this as I wasn't sold on the scent (as well as the fact
I already bought way too much!). It's said to be fragranced with
neroli, rose and mandarin but I found it quite woody and it really
didn't appeal to me. But it's so pretty!
Cupcake Facemask: If you fancy a real chocolatey indulgence without the calories this Easter then
try this! This face mask smells so incredible, rich with cocoa and cocoa butter
but with minty crystals flecked throughout making it refreshing too. I seem to
be making it my mission to try all the Lush face masks. This mask is good for
oily and blemish prone skin like mine, I got on with it really well.
Gift Sets
Five Easter themed gift sets this year! I include some of my favourites in my Easter Gift Picks post earlier this week. I'm loving the adorable novelty packaging of Lush's Easter gift sets, my favourite being the giant carrot I think! Both the carrot and the bouncy bunny gift sets have the added bonus of coming with the rare Spring Bunny bath bomb which is exclusive to those sets only.
You should also check out the Lush Kitchen this week as they have all sorts of exclusive batches of Easter goodies they're creating! I've got my eye on a couple of things, but I know you always have to get in quick before what you want sells out. Although bare in mind you won't be receiving them until after Easter.
