Well I finally made it to London! After 8 months of not being well enough to go
we finally had our much anticipated trip.
As you may remember last June, before my blog was born, I won a prize with Oasis Fashion (see my post). Along with a collection of clothes I won a two night stay at the Charlotte Street Hotel in London, which is a 5 star boutique hotel part of the Firmdale Hotel group. I took my Mum and we had a lovely girlie mother-daughter break which included plenty of shopping, relaxing and eating delicious food! The hotel was absolutely beautiful and the staff made us feel very special during our stay. I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome so struggle with joint pain, fatigue and dizziness amongst other symptoms 24/7. In spite of this however I did manage to do most of the things we planned, just with strategic rest breaks. I was running on adrenalin and excitement mostly!
As well as Afternoon Tea we enjoyed Cocktails in the bar, Shopping in Covent Garden, a visit to Lush on Oxford Street and Dinner at Zizzi's on Charlotte Street. We had planned on doing the Big Bus Tour in London on our final day. However the roads were gridlocked due to some road closures so we ended up taking a taxi to Trafalgar Square, I had a walk around there and we got some outfit pictures (coming soon). Then we got a taxi to Buckingham Palace and I also got to see St James' Park. So I was happy that I got to see two of the main places I really wanted to see at least.
I've decided to break down my trip into separate blog posts as I took so many photos I don't want to overload in one post! So I will feature pictures of the hotel, our room and the most amazing afternoon tea we had in a separate post later this week. This post will feature images I took whilst out and about sightseeing.

I also Vlogged whilst I was up there so you can see more of what I got up to in the video below!
