Recently I have been fortunate enough to be sent a selection of makeup
& brushes from IT Cosmetics to sample and review. I was so delighted to be
contacted by them that I could barely contain my excitement when the package
arrived! IT stands for Innovative Technology as this brand works with plastic surgeons & dermatologists to infuse
cutting-edge, anti-aging technology into their products. The brand's co founder,
Jamie Kern Lima, suffers from Rosacea so she wanted to create products that were
not only problem solving & high performance but also good for your skin at
the same time. Aiming to empower women through confidence in their own beauty,
such a great message right?! IT Cosmetics is also 100% Cruelty-Free! IT Cosmetics has finally made its way over to the UK by popular demand and
you can buy their products via QVC UK. More items will be added regularly so
keep checking back. The great thing about QVC is that most of the products listed
come with the brushes so you don't have to purchase them
separately. If you're in the USA though you will be lucky enough to have access
to their full range on their website, here.
Before I start on the products I should say for anyone who hasn't read my blog before, I am not a professional trained
makeup artist just a girl enthusiastic about makeup and trying out products
& different looks!
Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer | One of IT Cosmetics most
award winning and cult products is this concealer so I was eager to give it a try (I'm using the medium shade). It's very highly pigmented so you
literally only need the tiniest amount - guaranteed you'll over use it first go!
It came with a double ended concealer brush with a precision tip one side and a
fluffy end for blending, it also has caps to keep it clean and hygienic in your
makeup bag which I liked. I found it wore really well and stayed brightening and
dewy looking under my eyes all day. Lots of concealers claim that they will not
crease, crack or wrinkle on the skin throughout the day however with this one it
is really true! You could use it all over as a full coverage foundation if you
wished but I just applied it in a V under my eyes and on red areas. Overall I
was really impressed with their 'hero' product!
CC+ Full Coverage Cream | The colour pigment in this cream is very good, although I think I'd need to
opt for the lightest shade during the winter months (I'm using the medium
shade). I used it all over my skin after the Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer,
applying with the lovely brush it came with. When set with the bye bye pores finishing powder (mentioned below) I find
it does last on my skin very well unlike other CC Creams which tend to disappear
before the end of the day. It contains SPF 50+ which is chemical free so you needn't fear
if you have sensitive skin, it does have a slight sun cream-like scent but not unpleasant. I'd advise to still use a regular SPF
underneath this during the summer months though as sun creams are designed to
penetrate into your skin rather than just sit on top like makeup will giving you
better protection.
Bye Bye Pores Finishing Powder | This is an ultra fine translucent powder that feels very silky & gives
such a lovely airbrushed finish! I just tap a little of the product into the lid
and brush it over the top of my make to set everything in place & mattify my
skin (particularly on the t-zone). The brush that goes with it is by far and
away my favourite of the ones I received! It's just so fluffy and soft, I don't
have such a fluffy, luxurious brush in my collection yet so I'm incredibly happy
with this.
Brow Power Brow Pencil | This product is a universal toned brow pencil. Meaning that no matter what
shade your brows are or even if you have no brows at all this product will suit
you depending on the pressure you apply when drawing with it. Light strokes for
pale, blonde, hairs and press harder for darker brunette hairs. I really like
these kind of brow pencils anyway as they're simple and fuss free to use plus
small and handy to keep in your makeup bag. You can definitely create fine hairs
with this if desire or just simply fill in gaps and neaten up the tail like I
did. The end has a spooley brush on it to give you a groomed finish, which if
you have hard-to-tame hairs like mine is a must have!
Top-Bottom: Rose Flush, Damsel, Je nai se qua.
Lipsticks | I received 3 of the Vitality Lip Flush 4-in-1 Reviver Lipstick Stains. All of which feel very creamy an moisturising like lip balms so great
for dry lips.
Je nai se qua: A really pretty natural pink flush to the lips. This is the sheerest colour
of the three and the shade will adjust depending on your natural lip colour.
The bullet is white so it's quite fun watching the colour change
when you put it on your lips. I really love this one as it doesn't end up
going too bright on me it remains very natural, just my lips but
better!
Damsel: This is a nude shade and is also the colour I'm wearing in the
makeup look I created below. I really love this one, it the most opaque of the
trio and it's the perfect nude for my skin tone that I can wear everyday. The
only problem I had with this is that the stain it's infused with is a fairly
bright pink colour so once the nude lipstick has worn of you're left with a
completely different lip shade which changed my whole make up look (not to
mention clashed with my top!) which was disappointing. However I bare this in
mind now before I'm going to use it and I don't feel that it's put me off it
much as I do like the colour.
Rose Flush: A deeper pink shade than Je nai se qua but really pretty! Again
this one wears off to leave a similar bright pink stain to Damsel so bare that
in mind. The stain may end up different depending on your skin tone however so
let me know if you have tried any of this and what they look like on you!

Since receiving this collection I've been impressed enough that I've bought
IT Cosmetics Sunshine in a Compact Bronzer with brush from QVC which is fabulous
and to get another one of their divine brushes is a bonus! Other products from
the range that are top of my wishlist are: The hello lashes mascara, blush stains & illuminator (because I love a good highlight!). I have also spied
on their main US website some stunning new eyeshadow palettes which I'm really
hoping will come over to QVC for us very soon.
