It's that time again! Time to run you through a list of items/products that I have been loving this month, I went for nice autumnal colours with the photography which I think gives things a real autumnal feel.
Pixi Glow Tonic | I received this in the Cult Beauty Most Wanted Box for my birthday. It has a fairly iconic status in the
beauty world and I hear a lot of beauty bloggers swear by it so I was keen to
see what all the fuss was about for myself! This is a toner, which you apply to
the skin with a cotton pad after cleansing & before moisturising. However
this is one with a difference - it contains 5% Glycolic which means it has a
gentle exfoliating quality as well. Unlike harsh Glycolic peels however (which I
don't think my skin could handle by the way) this toner is alcohol free and
balanced with botanical extracts such as Aloe Vera & Ginseng. It's designed
to even out skin tone by gently removing dead cells to leave a brighter,
smoother complexion. I have to say I've been really impressed with this product!
Starting off with the gorgeous fragrance which is very fresh and uplifting
making it enjoyable to use. Scars from spots have faded much faster than they
usually do and some of my long standing acne scars are looking better. I also
have had tiny little bumps on my cheeks and I can feel now that those are also
diminishing! My skin hasn't reacted badly in any way, I was a little concerned
that it might with the Glycolic content but it's been absolutely fine. I'm
definitely planning on repurchasing this once the bottle has run out! You can purchase it from Cult Beauty here.
Gimme Brow by Benefit Cosmetics | Benefit Cosmetics expanded & relaunched their Brow product range earlier this year to include 10 products dedicated to perfecting your brows. Although Gimme Brow was a product that was already in their original collection (they just gave it a makeover!) I'd never actually tried it before. I tried it for the first time as a mini sized magazine freebie and loved it so much that I asked for the full size for my birthday! I've been using this on my quick minimal make up days (of which there has been a lot lately!) where I want my brows looking groomed, slight filled in and finished without much effort. I use the light shade which I find creates a nice natural look for me that I like. Although my brows aren't fair when I tried the other shades in store I just found the medium to warm & the dark too deep for my liking. Luckily Benefit have expanded their shade ranges on all their Brow products recently. So like goldie locks this is my 'just right' shade.

The Comforter Body Lotion by Lush Cosmetics | I recently
made a cheeky purchase in the Lush Kitchen. Which for those of you who don't
know is an area on their website dedicated to stocking exclusive products that
are brought back from 'retirement' usually by popular demand. A
couple of products are usually listed on there daily & made fresh to send
out but you have to be super quick if you want something though because
there is only ever a very limited supply! This body lotion has the same divine
fragrance as one of my favourite bubble bars. With comforting cassis and
bergamot is gives a deliciously rich blackcurrant scent and I just can't get
enough of it!
Egyptian Musk Wax Melt | You should know by now I can never do one of these lists without featuring a candle! So this has been my candle of choice over the last month. I've been burning a large jar as well as a couple of melts as well and I love it so much! Not only is the colour very autumnal but the smell is divine, I find it refreshing yet warming at the same time. The dominant scent is definitely Musk so you have to be a fan of that. Described as "A prized treasure… A captivating musk with hints of vanilla bean and cedarwood." If you are familiar with Yankee Candle's fragrances then you will know Season of Peace which is a fresh scent brought out at Christmas. It's musky with a minty freshness. I find Egyptian Musk to be a warmer more Autumnal version.
Nails Inc Collagen Formulated Nail Polishes
| They are ever so slightly a different
formular/texture to regular Nails Inc Polishes and at first I wasn't sure if I
liked it. It painted on slightly thicker and felt a bit more difficult to smooth
out, but like I say this was only an initial and minor issue before I then
discovered how great these polishes actually are! First of all they are super glossy and stay that
way, their second plus point is durability. Whereas normally with my Nails Inc
polishes I can go up to 3 days without any major signs of chipping (pretty good
in itself), the Collagen polishes I've found last up to an impressive 5 days
& still look perfect! I guess the Collagen in there must help to guard
against chipping as well. I currently have 3 shades (as shown in the picture)
all of which are really gorgeous shades perfect for transitioning into
Autumn/Winter I think. Whether or not the collagen content actually improves the
quality of my nails remains to be seen but as for wear time & overall finish
these polishes are a winner! I bought these in a collection from QVC found here.
