I picked up the Urban Decay Moondust Palette before Christmas as I wanted to create some glitzy festive themed looks! Urban Decay shadows are always superb quality so I was fairly confident I would like this palette. The palette's outer packaging is matte grey & silver glitter and the word Moondust is mirrored. I think it looks really magical! As the palettes name Moondust suggests, all of the shades are metallic and very glittery so this is perhaps not for you if you don't like glitter particles on your eyes. However I think there is definitely a time and a place for it, the festive season, parties & nights out for example. We all need some glitter in our lives at times! I've noticed that glitter eyes have become very popular amongst the beauty community recently and that's really full on glitter.

All the shades are very pigmented though particularly when used wet, I think they would all look fabulous as eye liners (just use a liner brush). I particularly love the look of Lightyear (the vivid teal green) and Magnetic (purple). I think Galaxy (blue/grey/purple) has an incredible two-toned oil slick kind of look to it. I can't wait to try that one maybe as a liner with Vega (cobalt blue) or Magnetic. I'm keen to try Element (orange/pink) however I'm a little apprehensive as I've never had such a bright warm shade in my eyes before - let me know if you have any tips for his one!

I've swatched all the shades on my arm for you to see. Note: they were all swatched wet with no primer to show the true pigment. In the photos of my eyes I first used some matte brown shades from another palette (Mally Beauty's In the Buff palette) and then added Lithium from this palette into the crease and a pop on the centre of the lid to create a glitzy, brown smokey eye!

When I create some more looks using this palette you will no doubt see them on Instagram but I will also add them to this post here for you.

You can buy the Moondust Palette both from Urban Decay and from Debenhams Beauty.
