I was lucky enough to be invited to Halloween Event at Lush in Portsmouth a few weeks ago and I thought I'd share what we got up to!
With the exception of the Lush on Oxford Street the Portsmouth store is definitely the largest Lush store I've ever been in! This meant they had the space to display and showcase all the products really beautifully. I was really impressed with the amount of effort the staff had gone too! They were all dressed up in Halloween outfits, my favourite being the mermaid I think. They had really gone to town when it came to the food and drinks too! Everything was vegan and created by Lauren from the store. We had pumpkin spiced cupcakes, vegan brownies and even cookies decorated to look like the black cat 'bewitched' Bubble Bar! They had also prepared some beautiful mocktail juice drinks for us. I hung out with Rosie and Teri for most of the night but I also got to meet the lovely Hope & Lois!
There were a number of work stations set up throughout the store where we could try out products and even make some. The first one we hit up was the 'Fun' station not just because of the name! We modelled figures out of different colours of their 'fun' which is basically like play dough for your bath - you can lather it up with water to wash your hands, body or even your hair. Whoever created the best ones at the end won a prize! Mine was going to be a proper Pumpkin character with a body but I kind of ran out of steam so it ended up just being a little 'confused pumpkin emoji'! Rosie's creation was amazing, called 'devil duck' and of course won first prize - a lovely knot wrap gift.
Next up we headed over to the Face Mask station where we made a Rosy Cheeks Face Mask - one of my favourites. It was a bit like making a cake to be honest and was really interesting seeing all the ingredients going in of which there were actually very little! They included Rose Clay, Rose Oil and Calamine Powder for calming sensitive skin. I'd have loved to have also made my own little Lush sticker - this was handmade by Katie!
One of the lovely members of staff talked us through the new 'naked' products Lush have released for the season. For every bottled or potted product such a shower gel or body lotion Lush have released a solid alternative without any packaging. They're solid like a soap or massage bar and shaped like a bottle but lathers up a lot more. It was advised to keep them in a soap dish or recycle one of your old Lush pots. I have got a couple of these products now so I will give you feedback as to how I get on with them in a future post.
After this we then got to make a Sunnyside Bubble Bar which was fun on glittery fun!! It basically involves filling a mould with the powdered ingredients then sprinkling a load of gold glitter over the top. You definitely needed to be a fan of glitter attending this event as we all went home completely covered in the stuff. By the end of the night the staff were blowing the bowls of glitter so it all floated up towards the ceiling fans it was showering down everywhere - it was literally raining glitter!! I was totally digging it at the time although I am still finding bits of glitter on my phone and in my bag even now!
As well as all the products I made on the night - the Sunnyside bubble bar, pumpkin 'fun' figure and Rosy Cheeks face mask - my goodie bag included a Monsters Ball Bath Bomb & Bewitched Bubble Bar.
Having fun making my Sunnyside Bubble Bar!

How amazing do these cookies look?!
I decided to get sparkly for the occasion using Go Get Glitter Face Jewels in style 'Black Swan'
The Ectoplasm Jelly Bomb was so full of jelly that it felt like flubber - I still haven't made up my mind whether I like this or not!
Referring to their new 'naked' packaging free products!
Our 'fun' creations - my Confused Pumpkin and Rosie's Devil Duck
I loved the beautiful display of perfumes.
