I visited Sheffield Park for the first time a few weeks ago. They are known for their beautiful autumn colour but I wasn’t quite prepared for the absolute Autumnal paradise that greeted me there! So many different types of trees in all the colours I could ever imagine! The first tree that really struck me was a beautiful Acer with leaves in a mixture of red, pink, orange & gold tones that was simply stunning. I had worn this dress there in the hope of finding a tree that matched some of the colours running through it and couldn’t believe that we found one so quickly! Around the lake looked magical with all the autumn colours reflected back in it and luckily it wasn’t to damp there so I could enjoy crunching through the leaves on our walk around.
It felt really good for me mentally to get out of the house too. I’m so grateful that most National Trust gardens have remained open during this second lockdown, although with timed & limited entry numbers so you must book in advance and of course the cafes have only been serving takeaway food and drink. It’s a lovely opportunity to get out of the house in the crisp, fresh air and enjoy all the stunning autumn colour around! I took a couple of extra outfits of course to make to most of my gorgeous surroundings so I will link all the pieces I’m wearing under the images.
